So every time I think about how adorable Ralsei is, I can’t help but think about that anagram. More specifically I can’t help but think about another Asriel Original Character (do not steal) and how Ralsei’s behavior and personality might be a match to Flowey’s first instincts on how to behave when he first woke up, during those first few runs.
Just imagining fluffy hug boy with his ribbons and his pacify spells and his compliments and manuals waking up without a soul with the weight of his mistakes and trauma hanging over him.
Imagine this kind of character fixing every problem, making every friend, but realizing he feels no less alone. Not feeling that friendship he wants so badly. Knowing that he can just reset and try again, and knowing that everything he does is in some way not real because it can be so easily altered.
I just keep thinking about how awful this would be.
You people have got to quit using “empathy” as a baseline for virtue.
Y’all gotta quit acting like empathy, sympathy, and compassion are all
the same thing.
You would be surprised how many people you know
and love, good people, have “low empathy.” Like, to speak for myself, I
have a really hard time remembering that other people are fully
realized beings and not just meat-robots that exist to inconvenience me.
Is it possible to have, like, negative empathy?
But I tell people
that, and they’re genuinely shocked and surprised. Because y’all seem
to think that “low empathy” means “going out of your way to be a dick
every waking moment.”
Just like neurotype doesn’t excuse harmful behavior, also neurotype is no indication of a person’s moral character.
there is nothing ralsei could do that i wouldnt forgive him for
you really gotta be a fool to say tchaikovsky wasn’t gay. the man literally fired cannons in his 1812 overture, do you really think a straight man could achieve that drama? that panache? that power? grow up
this was ghostwritten by captain raymond holt.
Didn’t Ken Russel make a movie about him and the fact he was gay or bi?
Okay but Tchaikovsky was actually gay???????????? He wrote his violin concerto for a violinist he was super smitten with. Literally confirmed gay
yeah, that stuff wasn’t a secret
yupyupyup. also his symphony no. 6 (the “pathetique”) is regarded as a gay classic (and was used in a scene in the film adaptation of EM Forster’s “Maurice” for its significance to the audience like. it’s …not only was Tschaikovsky literally confirmed gay but he has achieved Status as a Symbolic Legendary Gay and thus his music is as well)
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love how clear it is that Louie always just assumed he was good at talking, good at smoozing, only for Scrooge to toss his world upside down by showing him that he’s good at reading people and situations, not necessarily conning, because he’s more than his love of money.
It not only sets up a way for Scrooge and Louie to bond, but it also shows that, like Huey and Dewey, that he’s stuck himself into a form of rut. Huey relies on the book to the point it hinders him. Dewey feels he can’t ‘make it’ because he’s not smart. The boys have unintentionally buried themselves so deep in their intentions to be different that they don’t feel they can go anywhere. But now they’re meeting folks like Scrooge and Webby and Beakley, who all see past that, and are growing their skills in other ways.
