When a lonely little alien is stranded after a crash, an unlikely partnership is formed between them and an odd girl who is determined to help them get back to their ship. Where is their ship, you ask? The moon, of course!
CIRCUIT is a short sci-fi puzzle/adventure demo created in a month for the 2018 Indie Game Making Contest. It should take around 20 minutes or less to complete!
Chances are there was some sort of ‘failsafe’ with Shido regarding Akechi.
If he were to admit anything, not only would Shido spin anything and everything away from himself, Akechi would… be killed. Having him testify to his own guilt also means incriminating Shido, and then there’s his blood connection to think about- his status as a living scandal, which Shido is already half-cognisant about.
The police are Shido’s bitches, it’s why he was able to organise a police station assassination in the first place. Akechi admits anything, he dies.
I thought that was a pretty obvious point when Shido threatened Akechi tbh
Well yeah, though it’s more solidifying the matter of ‘cannot go behind his back even to the police in his own time’, because Shido has control over such authorities. Stalling or defying to his face/on the phone is dangerous enough, but it’s the fact that even outside of this the kid doesn’t have a dog’s chance.
I feel like this only increases how suspicious his offscreen soap opera “death” was.
Akechi had no way of knowing who would take over Shido’s machine if the Phantom Thieves suceeded, and whether they had instructions to deal with him. It would make sense for him to take advantage of a situation allowing him to fake his death.
The only people he could have turned to for help agains the conspiracy were Sae and the Thieves, and they weren’t available for obvious reasons.
True. He also shows severe issues with trust and even at the end, only barely comes to understand his own feelings, let alone the Thieves. So he’s.. understandably not quick to jump to them for help throughout the whole game, and even at the end, prefers to handle himself on his own (akin to wrestling his own demons).
Hell, he would even confirm with Joker and satisfy himself that Shido was going to be taken care of – even if they were going to do it anyway – and likely figure out what to do from there, should he survive.
I do wonder if he knew he would make it out or not though…
He’s been in the Metaverse much longer than any of them, is a lone wolf crow, and berserk power being like a drug to his system. He’s probably been booted out a fair few times due to carelessness, especially in the early days (though later on he couldn’t risk this happening publicly, lest some.. weird fuckin rumours arise).
That being said.. he took a pretty violent beating and even remained. He may have been unsure of what would happen then..
This might be an unusual art dump in my blog but I have wanted to draw Princess Marco since like 2 years ago, the thing is, I wasn’t feeling confident enough. I’m glad now I did it… I’ll draw more Turdinas next time! She’s great!
I got so sick of the cheesy Christmas playlist at work so I snuck in a version of All I Want For Christmas Is You where half way through the vocals change to Welcome To The Black Parade
Watching the customers slow down and squint in confusion is giving me life.
It’s only after Midoriya flat-out
denies being All Might’s son that Todoroki realizes how excited he was about
the idea.
Feeling Midoriya’s power up close
and realizing that it had to be related to All Might in some way was an
epiphany Todoroki didn’t understand how much meant to him until after it had
been refuted. (And much later, he wonders why he never once questioned the idea
that Midoriya might be lying about his heritage. Probably because of how
flustered Midoriya became. Maybe because Midoriya Izuku genuinely doesn’t seem
like the kind of guy who could lie about anything. Which seems like a strange
enough quality for any person to have.)
But those few days when Todoroki
thought All Might had a son were actually meaningful and precious in a way he
now realizes. Endeavor could never quite make up his mind if he was scornful of
the fact that All Might didn’t have any children (“Maybe he couldn’t sire
a child. Maybe he’s not so masculine as everyone thinks”) or elated
(“You won’t have any competition, Shouto”) to disappointed (“You should have competition. You need to prove you’re the best, by far
better than All Might ever could be or his children.”)
Endeavor spent so much time talking
about All Might’s hypothetical children that honestly sometimes it seemed like
they did exist. Sometimes it seemed like the only friends Todoroki
had as a child were the imaginary children of All Might. He spent more time
thinking about these children who didn’t exist than any of the children in his
elementary or middle schools.
Would All Might’s son hate that he
was All Might’s son? Would he hate that he had All Might’s power? Or would he
be proud? Would he see me as an enemy because I’m Endeavor’s child or would he
want to be my friend?
Perhaps it had been so easy to think
that Midoriya was All Might’s son because Todoroki had grown up thinking so
much about All Might’s son.
Later, after Midoriya’s denials,
Todoroki thinks, Of course he’s not All Might’s son. Midoriya
doesn’t look anything at all like All Might. Todoroki wonders why that hadn’t
even factored into his earlier thought processes when he came to the conclusion
that Midoriya must be the secret bastard love child of the world’s greatest
hero, and that’s when he realizes just how much he wanted it to be true. He wanted Midoriya
to be All Might’s son.
Because then maybe he’d have all the
answers to the questions he had as a child. Midoriya would be proud of his
father, he would love his father, and he would, all things considered, probably
want to be Todoroki’s friend, despite being Endeavor’s child. And maybe
Todoroki had briefly, really, really wanted all of those things to be true.
But, once his disappointment
subsides, Todoroki thinks, Well, maybe those things can be true. Maybe
Midoriya isn’t All Might’s son, but there’s some kind of connection there, and
Todoroki wants to know what it is. Which means getting a lot closer to
Midoriya.
Which, all things considered, is
most likely what Todoroki wanted all along.
A/N: Wooo just briefly thinking
about that time Todoroki thought Midoriya was All Might’s kid =D
