As a child, I remember being instantaneously drawn to the father-daughter bond between Drake and Gosalyn. I think I found comfort in their dynamic because it was something I lacked in that area of my life. To this day these two remain my favourite fictional parent-child relationship and it’s the one thing I absolutely never want to see changed or altered in a potential reboot. Their connection is like, sacred to me.
I mega-cropped this because the picture did not want to cooperate, which might have something to do with the fact I haven’t slept in 36 hours (all-nighter homework assignments WHOO). But I was determined to get SOMETHING done because I don’t want to lag behind when it’s only Day 2!
Fun fact: This is the first time I’ve drawn Drake Mallard… ever (and it shows). The sweater vest ™ will never cease tormenting me.
